British English versus American English

One of the most famous words which is different between American English and British English is the word: "biscuit"(British English) and "cookie" (American one)



The second one also very famous by its difference between both countries is the British word “corn" and the American one, “grain"


The British word "maize" is also different from American one "corn"





The British word "aubergine" versus "eggplant" from American one.



Another one is the word "chips" the British one, and the American word "French fries"



"Potato crisp" is the British one and "potato chips" is the American word



The word "joint" in British English is different from American one which is "roast"





And everyone loves "sweets" (the British one) and "candies" in this case, the American one
